What we collect, and what we don't.
Written to be read rather than to be survivable in court. If anything here is unclear, ask — the answer will be a straight one.

The short version
- This site sets no cookies — that is why there is no consent banner.
- Nothing is stored in your browser. No local storage, no fingerprinting.
- There are no advertising or social media trackers of any kind.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not send you anything you did not ask for.
- The only personal information we deliberately collect is what you type into the contact form.

What we collect
When you use the contact form
Your name, your email address, whatever you write in the message field, and which page you submitted from. We collect it for one reason: to read it and reply to you. It is not added to a mailing list, and it is not shared with anyone outside the processors listed below.
The lawful basis is your request — you are asking us to get in touch, and we cannot do that without a way to reach you.
Automatically, when any page loads
Our host records the usual server-side request information, including your IP address. That happens for any website; it is what makes delivering a page possible.
One thing worth naming specifically: when a form is submitted, we briefly store the submitting IP address to limit how many submissions can come from one connection in a short window. It is deleted automatically about eleven minutes later. Without it, the form is trivially floodable. Nothing else is derived from it and it is never linked to a submission.
Analytics
None currently. If that changes, it will be a cookieless tool that counts page views without profiling visitors, and this notice will say so before it goes live.
Who else processes it
We keep this list short on purpose — every extra service is another party holding your information.

Some of these are based in the United States, so your information may be processed there. Each operates under the standard contractual terms that permit those transfers.
How long we keep it
Contact form submissions: 24 months after our last contact with you. Ask us to delete yours sooner and we will.
Rate-limiting records expire on their own after about eleven minutes. Error reports are kept only as long as it takes to fix the error. Analytics data, where it exists, is aggregated and is not tied to you.
Cookies
There are none. Not "essential only", not "we use a few" — the site sets no cookies at all, and stores nothing in your browser.
Consent rules apply to storing or reading information on your device, so with nothing stored there is nothing to consent to, and no banner to dismiss. Your browser will cache pages and images so the site loads faster on your next visit; that is ordinary browser behaviour, it stays on your machine, and clearing your browser cache removes it.
If we ever add something that does set a cookie — an embedded video or a booking widget, say — you will get a real choice about it first.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct it if it is wrong;
- delete it;
- stop using it, or restrict what we do with it;
- hand it to you in a portable format.
Email elon@elray.io and we will act on it within a month. There is no form to fill in and no charge. If you think we have handled your data badly, you are also entitled to complain to your national data protection authority.
Changes
If this notice changes in substance, the date at the top of the page changes with it. We will not quietly broaden what we collect.
